Kite Festival – June 27 and 28, 2015

IMAG0101[1]June 27th and 28th are the dates for the Summer Kite Festival in Lincoln City, OR. Once again I expect that I will be attending and will get to experience some of the premier kite fliers from all over the region. There are two fields setup in the sand at the “D” River Wayside… the field on the left is reserved for the display kites like you see in the pictures. Some of these are just huge! In the right field you will get to watch them fly 2 and 4 line stunt kites to music, sometimes in teams… it is absolutely mesmerizing.

If you haven’t had an opportunity to attend I would encourage you to do so. The past couple of years the weather has been absolutely gorgeous…I seem to recall a pretty bad sunburn.

Below are a couple of videos that I created from previous visits.

As a side note…if you were staying in one of Lincoln City Beach Retreat’s condos you wouldn’t have to fight the parking you could just walk over event. Click on the property pictures above or enter the dates in the search to the right to see if we still have availability. We can accommodate up to 8 people.
